Feminist publishing in India

Last year in July I had the chance to sit with India’s first feminist publisher, Urvashi Butalia who was in Melbourne for the launch of A Rag Doll After My Heart by Shruti Nargundkar, a translation from the original Marathi into English published by Urvashi’s Zubaan Books based in Delhi.

The wonderful folks at Southern Crossings a writers’ collective based in Australia, aiming to reimagine Australia, South Asia, and the world, through the voices of South Asians and South Asian diaspora living in Australia were kind enough to publish the whole 6000-word interview here.

If it’s your thing, go ahead and give it a read, and thank you if you do!
